Description of workshop: Using hot wax and vibrant textile dyes we will be creating sheets of abstract design and colour, from which sections will be taken to create batik cards.   Back to top

Description of workshop: Come and experiment with a range of inks to create some stunning effects. This course will introduce you to a very experimental way of using acrylic ink, Indian ink, brusho and a few other things you may not have tried before. Pipettes, cling film and Milton will all add to the mix! No, its not a science experiment but the results will be just as unpredictable. Its a really fun course with no previous experience needed. Description of workshop:
Working alongside artist Sara Hayward RCA(MA) you will have fun producing a wonderful flower still life in oil pastels and coloured inks, developing your drawing and painting skills with vibrant colour and quirky markmaking. Description of workshop: A mandala is a sacred circular space ( but you can think outside the circle too ). Your mandada could have special symbols, colours,marks, or represent nature,animals, trees etc; using paint, stamps, pastels, collage. You may want a healing medatitive mandala manifested from within, or your circle could illustrate dreams and desires that you want to manifest in your life.Maybe your mandala could represent feelings or experiences you want to let go of. So many possibilities!. Come and have fun learning different techniques and bring some special things of your own to use if you wish like photos , poems, flowers etc. I Have lots of examples to inspire you also. Description of workshop:
  The objective of the workshop is  to produce a simple local landscape painting that you will be proud of.

The local  subject and inspiration will be provided, guidance in wash and brush techniques will also be given along with support and encouragement.

Suitable for beginners and improvers of ages over 16 and over. 10 places available.
